Game Mechanics

Dans Nebulus, the player controls a small green creature named Pogo whose mission is to destroy eight towers built above the sea.

Pogo begins at the bottom of a tower and must find its way to the top. Each tower is cylindrical and is scalated with platforms located on its outer surface, forming stairs or connected by lifts. Because of its cylindrical shape, the towers have no limit to the left or right: Pogo can turn around each.

The main feature of the game lies in the fact that Pogo remains at the center of the screen: if it moves to the right or left, the representation of the tower itself turns in one direction or another. It is also possible, in some places, to borrow tunnels to cross the tower on its part.

Along its ascension, Pogo meets different enemies, for most basic geometric shapes. It is possible for him to shoot some, but others resist his shots. If it comes into contact with one of them, it is projected on the immediately lower platform. If there are no, he falls into the sea and drowns.

Once the top of a tower reaches, Pogo can trigger its destruction mechanism, causing its collapse in the sea. Pogo then boards a submarine, and in most versions integrate a bonus level where he can shoot on different fish to score points.
