Game Mechanics

The game system Jr. Pac-Man is very similar to that of its predecessors: The player controls the eponymous character Jr. Pac-Man (who wears a animated propeller cap), and marks points by eating all the pac-gommes of the labyrinth, while four ghosts chase him in the labyrinth and try to kill him. The player can eat a super pac-gomme to blue ghosts, making them vulnerable for a short period of time, and allowing the player to eat them for extra points. Once the maze is erased, a new maze will be introduced and the game system will continue.

This game contains some of the most important differences in the formula Pac-Man, both in terms of cosmetic products and gameplay. The labyrinths now double the screen width, and a virtual camera scrolls from left to right through the labyrinths. A total of seven labyrinths appear in the game, and five of them have six super pac-gommes instead of four - but none of them have tunnels that send from one side of the screen to the other. As in previous games, bonus objects (such as tricycles, kites, and balloons) appear above the ghost regenerator and bounce back into the labyrinth as in Ms. Pac-Man.

? cutscenes the game centers on the relationship between Jr. Pac-Man and a small female red ghost named Yum-Yum (which is apparently Blinky's daughter).
