Game Mechanics

From 2 to 4 players can play together (on the same computer). Each player chooses a character from Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Irene Adler, and the Lestrade Inspector, and must select one of the thirty investigative topics available in the game. All players must then read the file of the survey chosen in the game manual. The file presents the elements of the case, mentions the people involved, and explains what the players will have to solve to win the game. All investigations are in London. The course of the game is comparable to Cluedo: the players move on a (virtual) tray cut into many small boxes, according to the result of the dice taken automatically by the computer. There are 15 different locations (magazines, bank, ') to conduct research and interview witnesses. Players will find a clue in each location, but some will only be there to jam the tracks. If a player thinks he has found a crucial index somewhere, he can lock the place in question thanks to a badge that he must withdraw to Scotland Yard before. Each of the other players, in order to be able to access the locked place again, will have to go to the locker, thus losing time. When a player thinks he has discovered the truth, he goes to 221B Baker Street and has to correctly answer a series of questions. If he answers all the questions, he won the game. If it commits an error, it is eliminated, while the remaining players continue their investigations.
