Game Mechanics

In this episode, the man of the caves in the big head is looking for half the moon that was stolen by the wicked King Drool. The multiple levels contain several specific and very varied areas, ranging from cloud to caves to water levels. As in most platform games, Bonk has several capacities: the A button to jump, the B button to make a "bonk", a head-up that inflicts a mortal blow to most enemies; a combo A + B causes a more powerful blow killing the enemies on which Bonk lands, accompanied or not by a destructive shock wave. By pressing the B button several times in the air, Bonk rotates on himself and flats, allowing controlled jumps and landings. Bonk can also use his large mouth to cling to surfaces and climb them.

Bonk's health is represented by crane containers, similar to those of the games of the series Zelda. Damage will cause Bonk to lose a certain amount of portions, but they will again be filled with fruit. Bonk can also harvest empty containers that increase their total number. This is useful to increase Bonk's health while the game becomes more difficult. We also find some smiley, similar to the coin series Mario. These offer an extra life when you gather a hundred. One can also win a more life by picking up a small figure from Bonk's effigy.
