History
History is the direct suite of Desert Strike. Ibn Kilbaba, son of the general of the same name who died at the end of Desert Strike, partnered with a South American drug baron, Carlos Ortega, to avenge what the United States did to his father. The player embodies the same driver as in the previous opus. This time aboard a Comanche helicopter, he has to stop the two men in their nuclear attack project against the United States.
Note the presence of Bill Clinton during the first campaign and the briefing at the end of the campaign.
Game Mechanics
The gameplay has not changed since Desert Strike, however, the helicopter controls are less rigid, and it should be noted that the lifespan has increased considerably because of a higher difficulty and above all a number of campaigns that have passed from 4 to 9. These campaigns take place in places much more varied than the sand of the Middle East passing from a city to a jungle through a shore.
Among the new features is the possibility of driving other vehicles such as an Aeroglider, an F-117 furtive hunter and a motorcycle.
A map accessible at any time during the game allows you to know the position of the player, his enemies, allies, fuel supplies and ammunition and to know the state of his helicopter.
The Comanche has 1000 armor points and can board up to 8 Hellfires, 38 Hydras, and 1000 bullets for the Canon M230.
