Game Mechanics
The goal of this game is to make the best score possible, in order to be able to enter three letters to the player's choice, in the list of High scores.
Basic principlesThe player controls a clown named "Mr. Do!". Mr. Do is in his garden, and wants to get the cherries there. Monsters walk around, and won't let Mr. Do make his collection quietly. If a monster touches Mr. Do, he dies, and the player loses a life. At each level a path is dug through the garden, going down to the top of the screen, passing through the center. Monsters can only take already dug paths. Mr. Do is able to dig new paths, at the price of a less rapid travel speed.
Deroulement of the gameThe cherries are grouped together with eight pairs. By collecting them, every eight thereafter, a points bonus is awarded to the player. In addition to cherries, apples are scattered in the garden. These apples are subject to the law of gravity: if Mr. Do dig underneath, the apple falls after a few seconds. If he digs below and stays directly under the apple too long, he can get crushed. Mr. Do can also push apples to a free space. If an apple falls more than two floors, it breaks in two and disappears.
To defend himself, Mr. Do can destroy his enemies using a magic bullet or crushing them with apples.
The magic bullet, once launched, bounces along the walls of the tunnels, taking a rather unforeseeable path at each fork. Once she killed a monster, she puts some time to reappear, but she always appears directly in the hands of the character. A good tactic therefore seems to shoot at a close range or in a straight corridor to the target monster. Mr. Do can also shoot through a ripe ripe enough, allowing to kill a monster safely.
The player can complete a level, if he collects all the fruits of the level or if he kills all the monsters out of the center.
The enemiesThere are three types of monsters: the monsters coming out of the centre, the monster carrying a letter and the bodyguards of the latter.
The monsters that appear in the center, kind of an indescribable object that has their shape. The watches appear slowly at regular intervals, and they can finally be very numerous. These monsters can get mad, and turn into a monster capable of digging. This transformation is rare at the beginning of the game, but its probability of coming, increases with the difficulty of the game.
The monster carrying a letter remains in normal time outside the space of the game, up. It enters from time to time in playable space, but rarely enough time for the player to kill him. When all the monsters came out of the center, an object appears instead of the monster exit. When this object is caught by the player, normal monsters freeze. All these monsters can eat still apples. So you should not wait too long before pushing an apple to crush one of its monsters. The player must use all his trick to kill the monster carrying the letter. Once this monster is killed, all the bodyguards turn into apples. If all the bodyguards are killed or the monster with the letter is killed, the normal monsters move again and the party resumes its course. If he is alive, the monster carrying the letter then tries to return to his location at the top of the screen.
When the player managed to form the word "EXTRA", killing the five monsters, he gets an extra life, and changes level.
Very rarely, an apple that breaks, can reveal a diamond. If the player catches him, he finishes the level, gets 8000 points and a free credit. Getting free credits is extremely rare in arcade terminal games.
