About game

Game Mechanics

Principle

The player starts with an already pre-filled array of bubbles. To empty its painting, at least 3 bubbles of the same color must be touched. When 3 bubbles or more of the same color touch, they explode. Careful, at the beginning of the game or when the opponent sends you bubbles, you may find yourself with 3 bubbles of the same color that touch but that do not explode. For the bubbles to explode, it must be the player himself who sends a bubble of the desired color.

The bubbles stick to each other and are hung to the ceiling, unlike Tetris where the blocks go down. When a bubble crosses the bottom line, the player lost.

Game modes

There are several game modes, and the difficulty is adjustable. In "Defi" mode, the difficulty allows to increase the computer's intelligence while in 2 players mode it increases the number of possible colors (more different colors increases the difficulty of forming packets of 3 identical bubbles).

Mode 1 player

The solo mode consists of two parts: the "History" mode and the "Defi" mode.

In "History" mode, you will walk on a card containing the letters of the alphabet. At each letter, you will be entitled to a series of 5 tables to be resolved. To go to the following table, you must completely empty the table before the bubbles reach the bottom line, indicating defeat. The ceiling descends little by little and so you should not waste time.
There are several possible purposes depending on the final letter on which you arrive. Try to see them all.

In "Defi" mode, you will face characters played by the computer as if it were the 2 player mode. The game takes place in 1 round. Will you succeed in defeating the end boss?

Mode 2 players

The 2 player mode is the mode that allows to face a human player. The goal is to force the defeat of his opponent by sending him enough bubbles so that a bubble crosses the bottom line. There are several changes to the "History" mode:

  • The ceiling doesn't come down. Instead, it is an additional bubble line that appears at the top of the screen.
  • For each bubble fallen from its painting, the opponent will receive one of the same color.

The games go fast, the situation turns are numerous and the fun is very present, as long as the players have an equivalent level.

Special bubbles

There are bubbles that do not belong to any color and have special properties:

  • The transparent bubble: this bubble has no property. Being not affected by any color, it cannot explode. We can only get rid of it by dropping it in a cluster.
  • The star bubble: when this bubble touches a color bubble or a color bubble comes to touch it if it is already present in the table, all the bubbles of this same color explode. The explosion does not generate bubble mail in the opponent unless a cluster falls.
  • The black bubble: this bubble destroys everything on its passage and explodes when it touches the ceiling.
  • The block bubble: this bubble can hang on the sides walls and the bubbles can fix it. To get rid of it, the block must fall behind the line of defeat (this block does not cause defeat by itself but can cause it if other bubbles are hung there).
Techniques

The cluster

Although it is possible to empty its screen by simply blowing bubbles, it is much faster and better to use the cluster technique to empty lots of bubbles at the same time.

The bubbles stick together and the first ones are fixed to the ceiling. This technique consists of blowing bubbles as high as possible so that the bubbles below do not have any support. Deprived of fastening in height, they fall from the screen and are therefore ejected from the table (even if the bubbles that fall through the bar of defeat of the bottom, it does not cause defeat).

In 1 player mode, this technique allows you to clean a picture faster than to blow it up individually.

In 2-player mode, this technique is the one that accelerates the defeat of its opponent. Indeed, for each bubble fallen, a bubble of the same color will be sent to the opponent. The more the fallen cluster contains bubbles and the more bubbles the opponent will have.

This technique is also double-edged. Let's imagine 2 players who are ready to drop a bunch of identical sizes. Player 1 drops his cluster and player 2 receives bubbles accordingly. However, if the bubbles that player 2 received did not damage his cluster, it can cause his cluster to fall with bubbles that arrived just before. His cluster is therefore bigger than that of player 1. But most of the time, it is better to degain the first because a massive shipment of bubbles often catches the opposing cluster and the opponent finds himself in the immediate impossibility of dropping his cluster.

Accumulation

The accumulation consists of trying to place bubbles of the same color quite close but without touching, so as to make everything explode at the same time at the desired time. This technique is quite difficult to implement because it is impossible to form an accumulation of more than 5 bubbles and gains are not high, since the opponent only takes a bubble for each bubble exploded beyond 3 (an accumulation of 5 bubbles will send only 2 bubbles to the opponent).
This technique is useful only when the starting bubbles or the arrival of a bubble from an opponent have already formed an important accumulation. Thus, this build-up favours the creation of giant clusters, able to severely harm the opponent.
