Game Mechanics

Donkey Kong Jr. Math offers a solo mode and a two-player mode.

In the first mode, the goal is to give the answers to mathematical problems to accumulate points. Questions can be additions, subtractions, multiplications or divisions.

In multiplayer mode, each player controls a character and tries to form the number indicated by Donkey Kong by performing a succession of arithmetic operations. The game mechanisms are similar to those of Donkey Kong Jr.; the character clings to climbing plants to move in the area in order to collect the numbers distributed in it. To form the desired number, players must obtain at least three elements: the first number, the symbol describing the mathematical operation and the second number. When the number to reach is higher, players can collect more numbers and symbols. For example, to get the number 66, it is possible to choose a 9, a multiplication symbol, a 7, an addition symbol and a 3, because 9x7+3=66.

The multiplayer mode offers two levels of difficulty, A and B, which is the most difficult.
