Game Mechanics
The player directs a character confined in a picture of the screen size in which giant balls bounce, threatening the character. This one can only move to the left and right and throw claws up to the perpendicular to make the balls burst. When a large ball is touched, it is divided into two other intermediate-sized balls, which then divide into two small balls, which can be destroyed for good. The smaller the ball, the weaker the bounce and the more timing to pass under the ball is tight. The goal of the game is to destroy the balls before the end of the time untouched. To achieve this, the player must constantly anticipate the path and assimilate the path timing balls, which fatally tend to be more and more numerous over the game. The game difficulty is less to aim just than to find the places that leave the time to shoot. If the character is touched by a ball, the player loses a life and resumes the level. The player passes the following table as soon as he manages to destroy all the balls. A bonus of time comes to swell the score.
Over time, tables present third-party, sometimes destructive, increasingly complex elements. These elements come to disrupt the trajectory of the balls and reduce the shooting positions, transforming the challenge into a real puzzle. The character sometimes has the possibility to rise on platforms by climbing on scales. This is sometimes useful to reach some balls but can also be a double-edged escape (you must then be able to descend to destroy the smaller balls).
Bonuses, released during the destruction of certain balls, come to change the game settings:
- the "double shot" allows to send two grapples simultaneously
- the "trident" allows the grapples to remain hanging on the ceiling (by default it disappears as soon as it reaches the top of the table)
- the machine gun replaces the grapple and allows to send shots to a sustained cadence
- "protection" immunizes the character against contact with a ball
- the "dynamite" explodes all the balls of the small balls (bonus with double edge)
- the "suppension of time" freezes all the balls of the table in space for a few seconds
- the "time extension" adds seconds to the countdown
One of the attractions of the game is the presence of a two-player mode simultaneously. Cohesion is rigorous because the actions of one can have immediate repercussions on the other.
