War of the Lance

Game Mechanics

War of the Lance is one wargame. The game takes place on a two-dimensional map on which various elements of the environment appear - like cities, forests, rivers and bridges ' and the troops of the different protagonists, which are represented by squares whose appearance changes according to the type of unity. Each player has access to three types of units: land units - like fantasies or horsemen - naval units and air units like claws, dragons or even flying citadels. Most of the races of the universe of Lancedragon are present in the game, including humans, dwarfs, elves, kenders, hobgobelins, draconians and minotaurs.

Each game tower is divided into several phases corresponding to different types of actions that the player can perform: messages, quests, diplomacy, movements, rest and fights.

Two game modes are available in War of the Lance. In the campaign mode, the game starts at the beginning of the Lance War, the player then ahead to progress in the scenario after scenario. In the scenario mode, the player can lead one of the two camps at more advanced times of the war, each camp with several allies.
