Game Mechanics

Xenon is one shoot them up vertical scrolling. The game contains four levels and offers a two-player mode alternately.

The controlled machine has the peculiarity of taking two forms: a combat tank and a hunting plane. The player can move from one to another at any time in the game. This possibility implies a tactical dimension since some enemies can only be reached from the ground or, on the contrary, only from the air. The more maniable tank offers eight axes of fire while the ship, faster, has only one. Unlike the aircraft, the tank is not subordinate to the decor scroll (the tank can stop and return back). The vehicle has a wide range of arsenals (lasers, missiles, side shots, etc.) and additional firing modules (attached to the aircraft or "gravitation").

Each level is introduced by a studio member, Eric Matthews, in a short digital video.
