Game Mechanics
Missile rains threaten a plain and its cities and the goal of the game is to defend the position using three anti-missile batteries (Alpha, Delta and Omega bases). The scene is visualized with broad profile. The player moves a cross on screen with a trackball in order to target its strikes and three buttons, corresponding to the three batteries, allow to fire. Detonation occurs at the location indicated by the cross, and enemies caught in the deflagration zone are destroyed. The strikes must be targeted by taking into account the duration of its own missiles and the path of enemy missiles. In addition, missiles fired from the central battery go much faster than others. A battery contains ten missiles, and becomes unusable once this stock has elapsed.
The enemy attacks are carried out by waves, and are of different types. The most common is a ballistic shot coming from the top of the screen, some branching at a given altitude. Satellites or bombers sometimes cross the screen from end to end, largging several missiles. The player must also face smart bombscapable of avoiding missiles. Only one enemy attack is enough to destroy a battery or a city.
The game is cut into levels, to the progressive difficulty. At a level is a defined number of enemy attacks. The level ends when all enemy missiles have reached their target or have been destroyed. At the end of the level, the player receives points for each remaining city and unused missile. The batteries are repaired and supplied with missiles at the beginning of each level. A city hit by a missile is definitely destroyed. The player receives a "supply" city for a given score.
The end of the game is inevitable and occurs when the six cities are destroyed. Instead of the traditional "Game Over", the game's final screen displays "The EndOn a cloud background, evoking an atomic explosion.
