Game Mechanics

Probotector is a 2D shooter. The hero is most often seen side by side with horizontal scrolling of the scenery, sometimes seen from behind in a 3D pseudo. The player must eliminate the maximum of enemies while avoiding their shots and reaching the end of the levels to beat the bosses.

The character has a rifle that shoots small orange balls with a moderate cadence. During the progression, it is possible to collect various bonuses that change the weapon's shot. These bonuses are:

• the triple shot (three projectiles at the same time on 45 degrees up, in front and 45 degrees down);
• rapid firing (very rapid speed);
• laser firing (a laser beam that can kill several enemies at a time);
• the fire shot (a projectile that tournaments).

There is also a bonus that gives the player an invincibility for 30 seconds.

In addition, it is possible to get 30 lives from the beginning of the game by running the Konami code while choosing the number of players (on the NES version).
