Game Mechanics

Impossible Mission 2 is a standard platform game, the player moves from tables to tables (no scrolling) looking for information that will allow him to get access to the other rounds as well as to the music pieces that will allow him to access the last round.

The towers are separated by corridors with an armoured door opening only to the insertion of the password voucher; and each tower is formed of rooms arranged ones above the other and accessible by an elevator.

Each of the towers is based on a different theme: computers, cars, offices...

Different robots go through the base of Professor Atombender, thus disrupting the player's evolution:

• Safety robot, it is able to shoot the player using lasers, but on a short distance.
• Maintenance robot, it can push the player precipitating it in mortal holes.
• Kamikaze robot, rushes to the player in order to kill him by explosive
• Mining robot, laying deadly mines
• Pestless robot, harmless, this robot remains disturbed by the fact that it moves all the time, thus modifying the disposition of the lifters and systems put in place by the player.

The player has the ability to temporarily immobilize robots (using computers from the base), but it can also lay bombs and mines (which allows to create holes in the ground or destroy robots).By using computers, it can also take control of some robots.
